3 Honey Treatments That Will Glow Your Mind!

Written by: Bella Date: June 27, 2016

Dear Brownie,

Preambles...

I can't lie, this is one of my favourite at home beauty secrets. So treasured, I almost considered not sharing. Now the amazing thing about [natural] honey is that it lasts forever. Okay, ONE of the amazing things.Honey's is often under appreciated as just a healthier sweetener, but you might be surprised to learn that thisgloden elixir possesses LOADS of skin and hair benefits too! Honey combats dryness, dull skin, fights aging, and even fights bacteria. Plus, it’s loaded with nutrients, antioxidants, and healing compounds. Those bees know their stuff!

So I'm going to share with you three ways I use honey in my face routine. One mask, one cleanser and one scrub!

1. The Honey Mask. This is the most basic of the three because the only ingredient is your honey. This one ensures that you get all the moisture your face needs and always leaves my skin feeling supple.

All you need to do is get one tablespoon of raw honey (you may need more or less) and slather it all over your face avoiding your eyes. I leave this one for 10-15 minutes, trying and failing not to lick my own face and tehn I wash it off with warm water. It leaves my face feeling so loved and soft as a baby's you know what

2. The Honey Cleanser. There are enzymes present in honey that makes it PERFECT as a pore celanser. Now, when you combine the antibacterial properties of honey with those of coconut or jojoba oil, what you have is bliss that helps you correct skin imbalances and fight break outs.

For the cleanser, Mix one tablespoon raw honey with two tablespoons jojoba or coconut oil until the mixture is spreadable. I only use this on  to clean, dry skin and then gently massage  in an upward circular motion ofcourse avoiding my eyes.

3. The Honey Scrub. Now this one is a bit more. Honey does wonders at brightening my face so I almost always want to use this recipe in particular but because of how abrasive it can be, I recommend using it only once a week. After use, you may find your skin to be a bit red and warm, don't worry, it's the scrubbing.

What I do for this one is that I put about  a tablespoon on honey, white oatmeal and some brown sugar in a bowl and mix till it's a sticky consistency. I go on to mix in one capsule of my vitamin E because that helps brighten especialy your under eyes. I scrub my face lightly and leave my face sticky for about 10 minutes before rinsing and patting dry. Warning, this can get messy but it works! I susually do this at ight and i always wake up with brighter, more revived skin in the morning! My very own miracle!

Thanks for sharing Bella. I'm definitely going to try this. Hopefully i get natural honey because I really can't tell the difference between natural and artificial. I love the baking soda and lemon face mask. It's wonderful. It makes the face soft, removes dirt and roughness and give a beautiful glow. All you need is half a lemon and baking soda. Squeeze the lemon into a small bowl for mixing, remove the seeds. Then add the baking soda, you want a thick consistency. Mix it together and then apply to your face. Leave it on your face for 20mins. Your face would become tight and stiff but it's cool. After 20mins wash your face with water and soap. You'll see the difference. Please lemme know if you try it.
